History of Building

Papillion Middle School, home of the Titans, opened its doors in 1971, originally serving the community as Papillion Junior High. Proudly displaying blue and silver as its colors, the school has been a cornerstone of education in the Papillion La Vista Community Schools district for over five decades.

Initially established to serve junior high students, the school has evolved over the years to meet the changing needs of middle school education. This transition reflected a broader shift in educational philosophy, focusing on the unique developmental needs of early adolescents.

Throughout its history, Papillion Middle School has undergone several renovations to keep pace with educational advancements and ensure a safe learning environment. In 2012, the school received significant upgrades to improve safety and security, aligning with district-wide initiatives to enhance student well-being.

The Titan mascot, symbolizing strength and perseverance, reflects the school's commitment to fostering resilience and determination in its students. These qualities align with the school's dedication to preparing students for the challenges of high school and beyond.

As part of the 2023 Bond project, Papillion Middle School is set to receive further improvements. These include the renovation of science classrooms, interior and exterior improvements, and a gym renovation. These enhancements demonstrate the district's ongoing commitment to maintaining and upgrading its facilities to support modern educational practices.
